Providence Police and the Rhode Island Attorney General’s Office are investigating a report of two Brown Football players sexually assaulting a woman after leaving a Providence bar.

A report filed with the Providence Police Department on February 3, 2014, accuses two players of possibly drugging and sexually assaulting a girl after leaving Louie’s Bar on Admiral street.

The victim, a Providence College student, said she was at the bar on the night of Nov. 21, 2013 with her friend who is a football player at Brown University. She told police she's been friends with him since the 3rd grade. She said she remembers taking a shot and then drinking water for the rest of the night. The victim stated she feels like she may have been drugged because her limbs went limp and her memory is foggy. She remembers the Brown Football player carrying her to a taxi outside the bar and later waking up in his bed and being asked to perform oral sex on another Brown football player. Both men are sophomores at the University.

Providence Police is working with the Attorney General’s office in the investigation. The AG's office will decide whether to refer the case to a grand jury. Neither suspect has been charged in the incident. They are accused of first degree sexual assault. Police have requested the phone records of the players to assist in the investigation. They also took into evidence, a pair of black gym shorts and a t-shirt.

Brown knew about the incident in February and asked the players to leave campus in April. They took their final exams online. Brown University says they are still enrolled as students.

ABC6 has chosen not to release the names of the players since they have not been charged with a crime.
