The second man charged in a 2012 Cranston homicide was ordered held without bail.

Carlos Rios was arraigned at Kent County Courthouse Thursday morning on murder charges. Rios was extradited to Rhode Island from Massachusetts where he was serving time for an unrelated crime.

Rios is accused of the beating death of 49-year-old Victor Baez in 2012. In February, 30-year-old Carlos Reyes-Sanchez was arrested in Florida and charged with murder. He is being held without bail.

Police say Rios and Reyes-Sanchez beat Baez, ran him over with a car, and then left him for dead in the road.

Baez was hospitalized with his injuries and died four months later.
