A Glocester bus monitor arrested on child porn charges on Friday spoke out exclusively to ABC 6 News, calling the whole situation a misunderstanding.

A few hours after facing a judge, 30–year–old Joseph Such broke down as he and his family discussed the charges he is facing.

"I just made a mistake by going on these websites and sending the pictures out to a strange guy I met on the internet," said Joseph Such.

State police arrested Such Friday morning after receiving information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that he was transferring images of child porn on his email account.

"He made a bad move when he went on that site and now he's going to pay for it for the rest of his life. It hurts me as a mother because I love him so much and he does such wonderful things,” said Emily Such, Joseph’s mother.

When asked by if he was a pedophile, Stuff responded by saying no also adding that he does have a girlfriend.

State police say there is no evidence to suggest that Such had any inappropriate contact with children which is something he wants to make clear.

"I didn't touch nobody," said Such.

Even though he's 30 years old, his mother says he is developmentally disabled with the sense of a 16 year old.

"He's disappointed enough in himself and I'm disappointed to the point where he's like 'ma I just want to kill myself now' and I don't want him to do that,” said Emily Such.

"I'm sorry that I did what I did and I'll face the consequences and I learned from it not to do it again,” said Joseph Such.

Such tells me he was let go from his job as a bus monitor.

A judge ordered him not to have any contact with children and not to use the internet.

Such is due back in court on August 15th.
