The human remains found at a Providence construction site last summer will be identified Thursday.

In July of 2013 parts of a skeleton and skull were dug up by a crew tearing out the floor of an old mill. It's been nearly a year since the remains were found and little was known about the victim, other than that investigators belived the death to be suspicious.

Over the last year an archeologist has been putting the pieces of a human skeleton back together to try and solve a mystery in Providence.

Construction workers uncovered the remains while doing renovations at an old mill on Prairie Ave. Investigators believed the death was suspicious at the time the remains were dug up under the basement floor. They found an ID card from Rhode Island hospital dating back to the 1980's, a pack of cigarettes, a jacket and a bullet were also discovered at the scene.
