The Wareham Police Department is investigating two of its own after a video was posted on Facebook.

According to the Police Chief, the officers were responding to a disturbance at a home Wednesday, checking on the well-being of a 3-year-old.

In the video, one officer realizes he’s being recorded and waves. At that point, the other reaches out to grab the camera, which in turn appears to hit the woman, who yells.

Chief Kevin Walsh says no complaints have been filed.

“We don’t condone or tolerate anything that’s not right or illegal and not to say this is, of course, but we want to take the whole incident in its context and see what we have,” he says.

The officers involved remain on the job during the investigation.
