Amtrak service to Boston has been suspended after a train struck a vehicle on the tracks in Massachusetts.

The train with about 180 passengers struck a truck that was on the tracks in Mansfield.

No one on the train was seriously injured. The condition of the people in the truck was not immediately clear.

Amtrak said in a statement that service to South Station, Back Bay and Route 128 stations was canceled Monday morning.

Amtrak said it would ``take several hours ... to remove the damaged rail equipment and to make any needed repairs to railroad property.''

Delays were expected on the MBTA's Providence and Stoughton line.
