A two-car crash in Cranston sent eight people to area hospitals.

On Saturday, June 28, around 2:00 pm, Cranston Police responded to the area of 200 Scituate Avenue after reports of a head-on collision involving two vehicles.

The first vehicle contained two adults and two children. Everyone was wearing seat-belts and the kids were secured in car seats.

The second vehicle contained four adult occupants, who were also properly restrained.

It seemed that one vehicle has crossed the line into the other lane, directly hitting the other vehicle.

None of the injuries appear to be life threatening at this time.

The Cranston Police credits the proper use of seatbelts, which prevented the occupants from sustaining more serious injuries.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
