BARRINGTON, R.I. – A Bristol man is under arrest after Barrington Police say videos of a young girl were found on his iphone.
Mark McVay, 55, of Bristol, R.I. has been arrested and charged with one count of video voyeurism.
Barrington Police Chief John LaCross says the videos were taken about six months ago at Sunday School at the Barrington United Methodist Church.
"The mother of this victim is very disturbed by the whole process as the victim is," said Chief LaCross.
McVay told police he did not recall videotaping at the church.
Barrington Police say Seekonk detectives discovered the videos while they were investigating McVay for an incident at the Planet Fitness on Route 44. Seekonk police have charged him for setting up a camera inside the women's locker room at the gym.
McVay is being held at the ACI for parole violations for a disorderly domestic conviction. In 2009, he was sentenced to prison for five years for a breaking and entering and drug conviction. That sentenced was suspended for probation.
Chief LaCross says he usually doesn't released mug shots, but made an exception in Mcvay's case.
"We want the public to know that this person has been acting inappropriate," said LaCross.
