It was a star-studded day in Newport as Woody Allen stopped by the city to film several scenes for his up-coming movie.

A large crowd gathered outside the Fastnet Pub Monday evening where one of the movie’s scenes was filmed.

"It's cool Newport is a great place and it's so cool to see a movie being filmed here I can't wait to see what comes out of it,” said Marley Gifford.

The movie doesn't yet have a title, and very few details are known besides the film's two main stars Emma Stone and Joaquin Phoenix.

"You never really see something like this often. So, it is cool to have this in your backyard,” said Sasha Hinckley.

The filming at Fastnet Pub was tough to see since it was done inside, but as the crew moved over to the lawn in front of the court house many got to see Stone, Phoenix and Allen first hand.

"We're looking at him right now,” said Pat Cole. “I'm a big fan of all of his movies and it's just very exciting to be here."

"I am really excited to see this it's very nice for the town. I'm a big fan of Emma Stone and Joaquin Phoenix also so it's great to see that they are working here,” said Sisco Marquez.

It's not clear how many more days the crew will film in Newport but, many are hoping to catch another glimpse of Hollywood before production wraps.
