North Bend Street Apartments in Pawtucket were evacuated on Tuesday after a cleaning crew discovered a grenade within one of the units.

The State Police Bomb Squad responded to the scene and determined that the grenade and a few bullet shells that were located were not live and were probably used for training.

The grenade was found by a cleaning crew when they were cleaning out an a apartment. Police say the tenants were on vacation and there was an incident in the apartment that caused a cleaning crew to be called.

Tenants have since been allowed to return to the building.
