E-ZPass customers in Massachusetts are being warned about an email phishing scam asking users for toll payments.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation says some E-ZPass customers have received an email from “E-ZPass Customer Service Center” with the title “Payment for driving on toll road.”

MassDOT is advising customers that such emails are not from E-ZPass and should not be opened or responded to.

If you have any questions about the validity of any message sent from E-ZPass, you can call the E-ZPass Customer Service Center at 1-877-627-7745 or check your account at
