Three suspected were arrested after breaking into a Cranston home and crashing their getaway vehicle Wednesday morning.
The break-in on Priscilla Drive was reported to police around 7 am.
Police say three suspects tried to flee from the area after the homeowners got back to their house. The car they fled to flipped as they were trying to get away at the intersection of Priscilla Drive and Olney Arnold Road.
38-year-old Leonard Jackson of East Providence and 45-year-old Kerry Raso of North Providence were quickly arrested by police.
46-year-old Kevin Lenk of Cranston was later found in the woods by a State Police K-9, who bit Lenk in the stomach to stop him.
The three suspects were sent to the hospital for minor injuries and face many charges including breaking and entering and conspiracy.
Neighbors tell ABC 6 News they find the whole incident very unsettling.
"You know it is a very nice neighborhood so it is very scary to come home and hear that from a neighbor,” said Maria Francis.
"It kind of threw me off a bit because this is a very safe neighborhood, it's very quite. I mean we all know each other. So, I was really kind of surprised,” said Kathy Reall.
One of the homeowners told ABC 6 that he and his wife are just trying to get their house in order and get back to business.
