An injured fawn was rescued during Thursday mornings commute thanks to the kindness of a passerby. A driver was on his way to work around 5:30 when he spotted the animal on West Ave in Seekonk. The fawn was limping. Police say the man pulled over and sat with the animal in his lap until they arrived to help.

Officers put the fawn in a cruiser, and an animal control took it to the Bristol County Animal Hospital. The fawn did not have any broken bones, but the vet believes he may have had some soft tissue damage.

The fawn will now be taken to Tufts in Grafton where he will be rehabbed and then released.
