Portsmouth Police are investigating a sexual assault and a social host violation after a house party on the Fourth of July. Police say 22-year-old Tyler Blanchard Gammons and his brother 23-year-old Connor Gammons hosted a party of more than 100 people at their Bayview Avenue home.

The guests were a mix of people under the age of twenty one and over the age of 21.

Police responded to the address around 1:45 a.m. for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival they broke up the party and took a report from a 21-year-old woman who said she was raped by another party guest.

Additionally, a 17-year-old was arrested for driving under the influence at a separate location however it is believe he was coming from the party.

The Gammon brother were arrested on July 10th and charged with purchasing and procuring alcohol for minors. They have been released and are expected to appear in court on July 17.
