WESTFIELD, Mass. (AP) - Police have released the identity of the man found dead at the bottom of the Westfield River by two fishermen.
Westfield police said Tuesday that the investigation into the death of 39-year-old Joshua Ault is ongoing but that foul play is not suspected.
Ault was homeless and was authorities think he was living in an encampment near where his body was found Monday by two men fishing from a canoe.
The body was spotted lying face-down in about five feet of water near the Whitney Playground. The body was recovered about an hour later.
An autopsy is scheduled but the cause of death is believed to be an accidental drowning.
