WARWICK, R.I. (AP) - Police say a 90-minute standoff with an armed man at a motel in Warwick has ended peacefully.

Warwick police received a report of a man firing a gun in the parking lot of Motel 6 near Interstate 95 on Monday afternoon. When officers arrived, a man barricaded himself in a room but later surrendered. They say he was having a dispute with his wife.

Police say 39-year-old Robbie Zeigler of Cranston is being held on charges including domestic assault with a dangerous weapon and using a firearm when committing a crime of violence. He was armed with a loaded revolver-style handgun.

No one was injured.
