A Missouri man charged with taking a Massachusetts teen with special needs to Rhode Island with the intention to solicit sex has been sentenced to 14 years behind bars.

30-year-old Stephen Ardrey entered a plea agreement with federal prosecutors on Friday where he pleaded guilty to one count of trafficking a person under the age of 18 and one count of transportation of a minor with intent to engage in illicit sexual activity.

Ardrey is accused of picking up a developmentally delayed girl that he met online from a library in Medfield and bringing her to a Rhode Island hotel where he solicited people to have sex with the girl online. The incident happened in September.

The girl was missing for three days before she was located with Ardrey at a Coventry hotel.
