The sentencing of a man who pleaded no contest to killing his girlfriend in a drunk driving accident has been delayed after an emotional outburst in the courtroom.

Brandon Borge was set to be sentenced for a 2012 car accident in Cranston that killed Barbara Ellis. Borge lost both legs in the crash.

Borge told the court that the whole process is confusing for him since he does not remember the accident.

The Judge pushed the sentencing back to Sept. 9 to make sure Borge understands the proceedings.
