A New Bedford man is accused of going on an arson spree across Fairhaven.

Jason Majocka, 44, has been charged with four counts of arson for allegedly lighting 4 separate fires during the night of July 21st.

According to police, he set fire to a trash can on Adams Street just before 5:30, then about an hour later; he set another fire to a dumpster behind a local restaurant.

Majocka is accused of setting a third fire to a garden shed near the Hasting Middle School later that night.

Finally, a fourth fire was set to a portable outhouse behind the same middle school a little after 10:30.

Police officers ran into Majocka in the parking lot of the school, taking note of his clothes.

During the investigation, detectives spotted him on surveillance camera in the area where all three fires were set.

Majocka was wearing the same clothes in the video as when he ran into the police in the parking lot.

Majocka was taken into custody at his home in New Bedford. He will be arraigned Friday.
