A former UFC fighter is behind bars accused of picking a fight with his wife. Middleboro police say Josh "The Fluke" Grispi attacked his wife twice in just four days. Most recently, sicking the family pit bull on her. Police say it's the worst case of domestic violence they've ever seen.

Fighting was the lifestyle for former UFC "featherweight" Josh Grispi. Knocking out his opponents during his career in mixed martial arts. But, he recently brought that violence home. Attempting to knock out his own wife, according to Middleboro police.

Neighbor Justin Adesso said, "Its crazy that's in your own backyard especially where you play everyday with your own kids and that going on nevermind, they had their own kids inside the house."

According to the police report the violence started Friday when Grispi was arrested for beating up on his wife. His wife didn't extend the protection order on Grispi because she thought he'd get better. Instead on Monday night, he turned on her. Police say he punched her in the head numerous times, threatening to kill her. He even sent their pitbull, Buddy, after her. It was biting at her thighs and butt, until the report says Grispi choked out the dog. Those moments gave his wife the chance to get away. She ran bloodied and in her underwear to a neighbors house, where she called police.

"I guess when you train in violence its brought home sometimes," said another neighbor Chris McGann.

Grispi was arrested again. This time he's been held on 100 thousand dollars bail. He's facing numerous charges, including assault with a deadly weapon and drug possession.

As for his wife, she was hospitalized with a concussion, bruises, and a broken wrist. Had she not got away, police say Grispi may have killed her.

As for the dog, police say it's actually a show dog and was trained by Grispi to be violent. It's being quarantined for 10 days and will likely be put down.
