Secretary of State Ralph Mollis's office says it is no longer going to expend tax payer resources on lobbying hearings against three individuals involved in the 38 Studios deal but instead they will seek the maximum fine against the individuals.

The announcement came after a scheduled lobbying hearing on Tuesday morning. Michael Corso. a Providence Attorney involved in the deal,  was scheduled to appear but did not attend the hearing. In the past both Curt Schilling, the founder and CEO of 38 Studios and Thomas Zaccagnino, a board member of the company, both declined to attend the hearings.

The Secretary of States office is now moving forward with the maximum fine on the three individuals.
