A young girl is recovering after being struck with an arrow in Cranston.

Police say four young girls were walking a dog on Bain Street around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday when 9-year-old Lexi Franco was hit.

27-year old Daniel King has been charged with criminal negligence.

He told police he was trying to shoot a pigeon in his driveway with a bow and arrow.

The young girl was been treated and released from the hospital.

King was arraigned and held at the ACI as a probation violator.
