Donation Drive fore fire victims in West Warwick

WARWICK, RI_ Ice cream shop is holding a donation drive for condo fire victims today.

Piccard's Ice Cream, located on 10 Brookside Avenue, is holding a donation drive that left nearly 100 people without a home, from 1:00pm - 4pm.

The American Red Cross tells ABC6 they have spoken to all the families displaced and have provided financial assistance nearly totaling $20,000.

The Red Cross also provided food and shelter the first day after the fire.

Town Officials, along with the Red Cross are holding an informational meeting this Sunday at 11am for those affected by the fire.

The meeting will be at the Buttonwoods Community Center, located at 3027 West Shore Rd.

The American Red Cross is asking the public to make a financial donation so they can help respond to about 200 incidents a year.
