A Providence woman has been arrested for allegedly attempting to hire a hit man to murder a Providence Police Officers mother and burn her home.
Michelle Larracuente, 50, of Garfield street in Providence is being charged with soliciting another to commit murder and soliciting someone to commit 1st degree arson.
The Providence Police Department was notified Wednesday July 22nd by The Providence Fire Departments arson squad and an investigator from the RI Department of corrections of a murder-for-hire scheme involving a Providence Police Officers mother.
Providence Police received a report from an individual claiming that Larracuente asked the person to seriously injure the police officers mother, burn down her home, and vandalize another home in exchange for money.
Police used video and audio recording to monitor the meetings between the cooperating individual and Larracuente. The suspect is heard on tape asking that the victim be beaten so badly that she dies of her injuries.
Larracuente and the individual agreed on a prices for the services and made plans to meet at a later date for a deposit.
It was Friday July 24th when the two met again. This time Larracuente is heard explaining to the individual how to get into the officers mothers home. She also provided the individual with a cash deposit.
Larracuente was arrested that same day at 2:15 without incident and placed into Police custody. She was released on 100,000 dollars bail.
