The East Greenwich Animal Protection League says it is facing eviction because it can’t afford the current building it’s housed in.

The league posted on its Facebook Tuesday saying its building costs $600,000 and will need to either find a suitable place to house all of the animals or hope that people will donate to help buy the building.

The league said, “Our hope is someone who is a huge animal lover will save the day & our current home! This might seem impossible but we must try for the sake of our animals and all of the others waiting to be saved!”

It is unclear what date the league must be out of the building.
