On Wednesday, Central Falls Police arrested a 40-year-old woman suspected of distributing narcotics in a school zone.
An investigative unit received a search warrant for the apartment of Luz Morales in Central Falls. She was detained while police searched the residence and found “a sizeable amount of crack cocaine” in her bedroom, according to a media release from the Central Falls Police Department.
Morales was kept overnight and arraigned on Thursday morning on charges of the manufacturing and delivery of cocaine, as well as distribution of narcotics in a school zone. In addition to these two charges, Morales also had two Family Court warrants and one Superior Court bench warrant. Because Morales is being held on the Superior Court warrant, her bail is currently set at $30,000 with surety on the new offenses.
Her next scheduled court appearance will be on April 12 of this year.
