TAUNTON, M.A. – A Fall River woman was arrested early Monday morning after she tried to kick a police officer.

Taunton Police told ABC6 News Judith Brown, 25, was arrested after police responded to a disturbance on Oak Street at approximately 1:25 a.m.

“When Officer’s arrived they were met by the residents of that address who had responsibly taken the keys away from their friend that wanted to drive and was very intoxicated. The friend was upset and was observed flailing her arms and yelling at her friends,” addedd Taunton Police.

Officer Larkin attempted to speak with Brown, and offered to take her to the Taunton Police Department to arrange for a ride home.

Brown became aggressive; wanting to drive home herself, and attempted to knock the responding officer’s notebook from his hand. She also pushed him.

Authorities say the second attempt of a push was followed by an attempt to kick him.

Brown was subsequently arrested and was charged with: one count of Assault and Battery on a Police Officer and one count of Resisting Arrest.
