PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (WLNE) – Portsmouth police have located an alleged suspicious van that was seen on Tuesday morning in the area of Windward Drive and Linda Avenue in Portsmouth.

According to police, they found the van traveling in the same neighborhood Wednesday morning.

Officials say the occupants of the van are working in the area and were lost Tuesday trying to find a street location.

Tuesday was their first day at their job site location in Portsmouth.

A juvenile reported the van to police on Tuesday after two men attempted to speak to him while he was walking to the bus stop.

While this instance was found to be a false alarm, Portsmouth police still encourage residents to report any suspicious activity to the department.
