SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — South Kingstown police have identified the female victim involved in the deadly hit-and-run Monday night.

According to police, 75-year-old Mary F. Kemp of Wakefield had been hit as she was crossing the street. She was transported to South County Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

29-year-old Leslie Morales of South Kingstown is facing charges Tuesday for her alleged role in a deadly hit-and-run accident Monday night.

South Kingstown and Narragansett police responded to the area of Old Tower Hill Road and Narragansett Avenue at approximately 6 p.m. Monday.
