One of the top recruits in the country is coming to Providence College.
Forward Jimmy Nichols of South Carolina has made his verbal commitment to join the Friars.
The 6'8 Nichols picked Providence over his hometown South Carolina Gamecocks, and the Miami Hurricanes.
He took an official visit to PC last week.
"Providence is one of the best schools in the Big East," the rising senior said.
"They're one of the best schools in the country so that was one reason (for choosing Providence College)."
"The opportunity there. They're losing like three players that play my position so that was pretty cool. The way they treat their players. In Providence, it's only basketball. You get treated really well."
