In Newport, Portsmouth runs away from Rogers in the season opener, 34-6.

LaSalle hosting a nonleague game tonight and falling to Monsignor Farrell (NY), 20-7.

In another matchup of teams from different states, Marshfield (MA) routs Cranston West, 44-8.
