Providence Police release audio from officer-involved shooting

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence Police have released their radio recordings from the day of the officer involved-shooting on 95 on last week.
Providence Police continue to be forthcoming with their side of the situation. They’ve released names of the officers involved, traffic camera footage, and body camera video to support their position that deadly force was necessary.
Radio recordings show police put out a BOLO for 35-year-old Donald Morgan after he stole a state troopers car and then ditched it in South Providence. Cranston Police got a tip that Morgan may have gotten into a white pick-up truck
Providence Police officers and RI State Troopers attempted to pull over 32-year-old Joseph Santos because his truck matched the description, but Santos took off. Santos was then shot to death following a a high-speed pursuit. Santos' passenger, Christine Demers, who was critically injured during the shooting, remains at Rhode Island Hospital.
Morgan was eventually captured Friday night in Cumberland.
Five Providence Police officers and four RI State Troopers are being investigated as to whether the shooting was justified.
