Bomb threat evacuates Bristol-Plymouth Regional Tech School

TAUNTON, M.A. (WLNE) — A student at Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School was arrested on Tuesday.
A report of a suspicious package came in just before noon, police said. School administrators began evacuating students and clearing the building as a result.
"A suspicious package was located in the cafeteria and isolated. The package was subsequently inspected by the Massachusetts State Police Bomb Unit and determined not to be a threat to the school," said Taunton Police on Facebook.
According to Taunton Police, the student arrested and charged with: Communicating a Threat Causing Evacuation of a School.
"At this time, the investigation of this incident is ongoing. Anyone who might have witnessed the incident, or otherwise has information regarding this crime, is encouraged to contact the Taunton Police Department," the post read.
