Newport, R.I. (WLNE) – A career site, Zippia, recently ranked Salve Regina University as having the highest career placement rate in R.I. and the second highest rate in the country.
Zippia used data from the Integrated Post secondary Education Data System (IPEDS) to assess colleges and universities based on the number of alumni that have a job within 10 years of graduation.
Based on Zippia’s ranking, Salve Regina University had a placement rate of 95.9%, which was only behind Pennsylvania’s Lebanon Valley College, which had a placement rate of 96.2%.
Some experts argue that college statistics such as career placement rates might not always be accurate measurements, as different colleges have different standards for measuring that data.
It is also important to note that the study did not analyze the average job type or salary of the institutions it ranked.
