WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) – Some Warwick public school facilities will close at an earlier time Tuesday due to a temporary afternoon power outage.

The Warwick Public School’s Superintendent’s office has confirmed that power went out at Scott Elementary School, Winman Junior High School, Toll Gate High School, and the Career and Technical Center.

The three schools will be released an hour early on Tuesday, with the following release times:

Scott Elementary: 1:55 P.M.

Winman Junior High: 1:20 P.M.

Toll Gate High: 12:51 P.M.

According to the Superintendent’s office, the cause of the outage was a car accident near the Warwick and West Warwick line.

Parents have been notified about the early release.
