MIDDLETOWN, R.I. (WLNE) – An investigation into Middletown-based Flint Audio Video has reached the store’s owners, State Police announced Friday.

Gary Gagne, 58, and Daniel Anton, 50, both of Jamestown, were arrested around 10:00 a.m. Friday at the store’s Middletown location in connection with an employee-run distribution ring of illegally accessed nude photographs taken from customers’ cell phones and computers.

These arrests mark the sixth total in the investigation. Four other Flint Audio Video were previously arrested on charges including Accessing a Computer for Fraudulent Purposes, Computer Trespassing, and Conspiracy after reported accessing nude photographs on customers' electronic devices and sharing them with one another.

State Police said it now appears that Gagne and Anton were both involved in sharing and receiving the photographs.

State Police said both Gagne and Anton were arraigned Friday at Second Division District Court, each charged with Soliciting Another to Commit a Crime (including Accessing a Computer for Fraudulent Purposes) as well as Conspiracy

Both were released on $30,000.00 personal recognizance with a special bail condition stipulating limited internet use.
