Police: Man opened fire over car door sale gone wrong
LAWRENCE, Mass. (AP) - A Massachusetts man has been charged with shooting another man in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant during a dispute over the sale of car doors.
Henry Infante faces charges including assault to murder. The Eagle-Tribune reports that the 42-year-old Infante pleaded not guilty but said little in court on Wednesday when he was ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing.
Police say Infante, of Lawrence, shot a 21-year-old Lawrence man selling car doors in a Methuen McDonald's parking lot Monday, after he accused the victim of stealing the doors from him.
The victim was shot three times, but police say his injuries were not life-threatening. He has already been released from the hospital. He told police that he bought the doors from a junkyard.
