Remember the Weather Ten Years Ago?

Fred Campagna

Here's a thought to warm us up on this rainy, raw Friday. 10 years ago we were enjoying one of the most remarkably warm stretches of weather I can remember. The last five days of March in 1998 featured four record high temperatues. Here are the highs and lows at TF Green for the final five days of the month:

DAY  HIGH   LOW
27       81°      43°
28       83°      50°
29       79°      52°
30       79°      43°
31       85°      54°

All except the 29th set the record high temperature.

At the time, we were in the midst of the warmest year worldwide since the 1890s. Since then, 2005 has taken over the top spot.
