The Hurricane Hunter aircraft are back in Fay this evening, and they are finding some gusts over 65 mph. The 11PM update is due in about an hour from the National Hurricane Center. I'm guessing the sustained winds will be either 60 or 65 mph - strong tropical storm strength.

The storm is crawling to the north right now, and it looks like the core of strong winds will work right up the west coast of Florida to Ft. Myers.
The storm should bring very heavy rain to most, if not all, of Florida in the next two days. The long-range track of Fay keeps her somewhere in the Southeast through the weekend. The strong high pressure that will be moving into Southern New England tomorrow will keep Fay at bay...so to speak.
The weather from late tomorrow through Saturday looks great. At this point it's not a lock, but there's a strong possibility that Sunday will be nice too.
