Luigi was a pound puppy and a gift for my mother a few years ago.

"Sounder" was a 6 month old when I first came across him in Cranston Animal Shelter in 2006. A little depressed and anxious, Luigi was on his last straw at the pound. He was a doggy-society reject and returned to the pound numerous times. At first you would think that I'd get the hint, Bad Dog! The adoption even came with stipulations that he, needed doggy school!

Thinking that we'd be O.K. with training, we decided to wait a couple of months before school! In those two months I think we made daily trips to Wal-Mart to replace all the things he ate, chewed, or simply broke!

Than at our wits end we decided that Luigi needed some major reform. We came across a woman by the name of Alexandra Morgan (a God send) If it wasn't for her who knows where Luigi would be today.

But before doggy school we decided to change his name. Mom, growing up on federal hill, seems to think that the Italian way of life, is the only way of life!!! And thus set out to prove that an English Foxhound can be an "Italian" Foxhound, and granted him the name Luigi.

Now all the Italians I know love pasta and meatballs. Luigi just the same, pasta, meatballs, Sausage, peppers occasionally, anything with cheese, AND ITALIAN BREAD? He would eat four loaves if he could fit it all!

Luigi is a fun loving active dog, and loves attention. As a typical dog does, he HATES the mailman, and chases the pretty birds away but after all we love him just the same!
