Frank came into our life when we found out our daughter April, was secretly visiting him at Rumford Pet Center in East Providence. He was only a puppy, but she fell in love with him.
When we accidently found out, we visited him to see what all the commotion was about. He was the cutest little Daschound. We did not know anything about the breed, as we always had Beagles earlier in our childhood. So we got a book, and learned they are a "lap dog", committed and loyal to their owners, and very smart.
"Frank" as we call him, was a "mini" Daschound, only growing to 7-12 pounds, with a coat like a seal, smooth and shiny.
So my daughter was getting ready to graduate from Bentley, so my wife and I thought :Frank" would be an excellent graduation gift. So we went to the pet center to buy him and saw him being held by another person, and thought, oh boy, what if this person puts a deposit on him or buys him....then what would we do? As luck would have it, we patiently waited from Frank to be put back with the other puppies, and found out there were no deposits on him. We quickly paid for him!
Next we brought him home the day of my daughters graduation, and put him in a little basket, and my wife made a "mini" graduation hat and put it on him. My daughter was so surprised and thrilled. Now "Fenway Frank" is a part of our lives. We love him so much. We have never had a dog like him. He is such a big part of our family and our lives....
Thanks for letting me share our story with you!
