Casper is the son of a feral cat that lived under a store in Cassadaga N.Y. I walk through town on my morning walk and would see these two white kittens hiding around the store and it's garbage dumpster out back. The store owner deceided to relocate the family of cats to their farm so put out a live trap to catch them. I would see various adult strays in the trap in the mornings as I walked by. Then one morning there was one of the white kittens!! I went close to look. The kitten was pure white with one blue eye and one green eye. He was also thilthy and hoping with fleas. I still fell in love with this kitten instantly. I continued my walk and went I went by latter the kitten was still there!! I found a piece of paper and pen at the post office nearby and left a note with phone number saying I would adopt him. My phone call came with in an hour. This little kitten was a handful!! Wild and scared , I had to get him into a crate and get him home. That was the easy part, then he had to be cleaned up, de-fleaed, and wormed. It took about a week to get him to allow me to pick him up. But he has turned out to be constant source of love and entertainment. We were going to name him Ghost because he is so white but he was such a loving, mischivious clown that Casper seemed appropriate. So that's how our cat aquired his name.
