Hello my name is Lyubov Boguk, i am an immigrant from the former USSR, and now live in Rhode Island. Here is my story of how i found my best friend:
I think i was about six years old when, for the first time, i saw this little ball of fur running around in her small cage. She was running in circles like a mad animal. Ofcourse, this caught my eye, as an animal loving child i was curious to see what that little creature was. I took my mothers hand and dragged her into the pet store. Ever since i was little i loved going into the pet store to look at the animals, so my mother had no problem to let me look around for a while before we headed home. As we were walking through a hall of cages that little fur ball not only caught my eye, but my mothers as well. As we stood in front of the cage labeled "Keeshond" the animal stopped running and starred right at me. Her little head was barely visible from all the fur and her ears were just sticking straight up. she was absolutely adorable. i looked at my mom, and she looked at my dad, and they both new that since we lived in an apartment we could not have a dog. Also, we were from Russia and have only been in america for a few years, my parents knew that they would not be able to afford the dog. However, they agreed to let me take the dog out of the cage and play with her. As the attendant opened the cage we were directed into a little room. I sat on the bench with my parents as the attendent brought in the dog. She was so small, and a bit sick. However, that did not matter to me, i knew i loved her either way. As the dog was running around she bit my moms skirt and ripped it right down the middle. The dog than sat down and starred at us in the most adorable puppy face i have ever seen. After that it was not long before my mom and dad were signing paper work to take the dog home. As a six year old who was getting her first pet, needless to say, i was so excited. my parents took the dog out on credit and throughout the years worked very hard to pay for her. My parents and i got home and named her Jessica Jenna. She quickly won the hearts of the landlord and the other tenants. As years passed by we moved out of the apartment into a house and now she has her own yard and the entire house to run around in. Jesse is now 13 years old and i am now 19. I have grown up with Jesse and she helped me through a lot of ups and downs in my life. Just as she was there for me, i am now here for her, Jesse won her battle with pyometra and has even amazed vetrinarians after having her kidneys completely shut down and then start back up. Even though she now has cancer, I am giving her the best life she can ask for. She goes to the beach, gets gourmet meals, and most important of all she has our love. My family, boyfriend, and friends absolutely love Jesse and are willing to do anything to make her "senior years" the best they can ever be. Jesse is my best friend, the love of my life, and the best thing that has ever happened to me in my life. Each of those photos was taken in my yard. They are just photographs of Jesse enjoying her favorite soccer ball, showing her adorable puppy face and just relaxing after a long day at the park. I love her with all my heart and hope that her photogrpahs will win their places in your hearts.
