1 killed in crash with tractor-trailer on Massachusetts highway

ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE) — A person was killed in a crash with a tractor-trailer on Interstate 295 north in Attleboro on Wednesday morning.

Emergency crews responded in numbers just before the interchange with Interstate 95 north.

An ABC 6 News crew on scene saw a heavily damaged car up against a tractor-trailer.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead on scene. Their name was not released.

State police said the driver of the tractor-trailer is a 44-year-old Lowell man.

Police said both northbound lanes were temporarily closed and traffic was directed to the breakdown lane. All lanes were reopened by 10 a.m.
