1 person hospitalized after car crashes into West Warwick home

WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — One person was taken to the hospital after a car crashed into a home in West Warwick Thursday night.

ABC 6 News crews are on Providence Street where a house could be seen bearing heavy damage to one of its front corners.

A mangled SUV sat in the street near the home with pieces of the vehicle strewn about the roadway.

A neighbor of the home that was struck told ABC 6 News that they’ve lived on the street for two years and seen two other accidents but nothing this intense.

The condition of the person taken to the hospital and a cause for the crash were not immediately released.

ABC 6 News has reached out the West Warwick Police and Fire Departments and are waiting to hear back.
