1 shot in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence police said a person was shot on Sunday evening.

Police said the shooting happened at about 6:30 p.m. in the area of Hartford Avenue.

Police said the male victim was taken to a nearby hospital for surgery but his condition was unknown.

No arrests were made and the shooting is under investigation.
