UPDATE: Police Release Name Boy that Died at Camp Yawgoog

UPDATE:

Hopkinton Police have identified the 10-year-old boy that died at Camp Yawgoog this weekend, as Patrick Hannon of Huntington, New York.

The boy's death is not being considered suspicious, and police do not expect foul play.

 

ORIGINAL STORY:

The Hopkinton Police Department is investigating the death of a 10-year-old boy, found dead on the Yawgoog Scout Reservation.

Police were called to the Yawgoog Scout Reservation around 7 a.m. Saturday. Once on scene crews found a 10-year-old boy, and the Medical Examiners Office was called. The boy was pronounced deceased at the scene.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Saturday afternoon, and the boy's family from Huntington, New York, has been notified.

Police don't suspect foul play, but the case remains under investigation as they work to find a cause of death.

The Yawgoog Scout Reservation is a part of the Narragansett Council, Boy Scouts of America in Rockville, Rhode Island.
