Another 1,000 positive cases and an additional 86 deaths for Massachusetts Monday

BOSTON, M.A. (WLNE) – The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported 1,000 more positive cases of the coronavirus Monday.

Along with the newly positive cases, 86 additional deaths were reported, bringing the death toll in Massachusetts to 4,090.

The total number of confirmed cases in the state since the pandemic began stands at 69,087 cases.

Hospitalizations in the state seem to be steady, holding around 5 percent of infected patients hospitalized since the weekend.

The state has performed 324,268 tests for the novel virus so far.

Gov. Baker continues to ask all residents of Massachusetts to do their part in social distancing to fight the virus.
