11 hospitalized, crash involving shuttle

WORCESTER, MASS. (WLNE)- Eleven were hospitalized after a crash involving a medical center shuttle bus on Wednesday.

Officers responded to a report of the crash on Plantation Street near UMass Memorial Medical Center.

Eight out of the eleven hospitalized were UMass Memorial Medical Center employees.

A person was ejected as a result of the crash.

All passengers, including the shuttle driver, and driver of the jeep also involved were taken to the hospital.

The Crash Reconstruction Team responded and closed off the North Road entrance of UMass Memorial Medical Center to investigate the crash, according to the Worcester Police. The scene is now clear.
