13 Barrington teens arrested for trashing home

After a 25 hour investigation Barrington Police have arrested 13 juveniles in connection to a break and entering of 15 Fireside Drive.

The home was broken into on July 30th when some youngsters found out their friend and his family would be on vacation. According to the police the child of the homeowners had given a few of his friends permission to use an indoor pool while they were away.

Word of the family being away and the access to the pool quickly went viral among the youngsters.

The teens allegedly entered the home a door that had a loose handle.

According to police all the parents of the teens involved cooperated with the investigation. Twelve of the thirteen teens arrested were referred to the Juvenile Hearing Board. One who refused to cooperate has been referred to Family Court.

Of those arrested five were 14-years-old males, two were 14-year-old females, one 15-year-old male, one 16-year-old male, three 17-year-old males, and one 17-year-old females.
